Serigene to Move Company Headquarters to Doylestown, PA

Tuesday, March 4, 2008

Doylestown, PA - Serigene LLC announced that it will be relocating its company headquarters to the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center of Bucks County at 3805 Old Easton Road in Doylestown.

“We are excited to be moving into the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center” said Sergey Ilyin Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer of Serigene. “The Center offers a unique collaborative environment and the right mix of resources.”

“Sergey exemplifies the type of entrepreneurial spirit we are trying to encourage here.  We are happy to welcome him to the Center and look forward to helping him build and grow Serigene,” said James Horan,  Chief Operating Officer of the Biotechnology Development for the Biotech Center.

The Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center opened in September 2006 to provide a place where academic scientists and entrepreneurs can come together to create a collaborative knowledge community focused on translating innovations from the laboratory to the marketplace where they will benefit patients.  Dedicated to helping create and develop new companies to strengthen the life sciences industry in the region, the Center, through its programs and partnerships, provides space, resources, and assistance to biotechnology companies from start-ups to growing, venture funded mid-stage firms.

“Having Sergey and Serigene at the Center will add to our expertise, and as he integrates with the other scientists here, synergies and collaborations will develop that will benefit everyone involved,” said Horan.  “That’s what we’re all about.”
